Pointing fingers.
We are all told not to do it, but does that stop us? -No. Why do we? -Because it’s easy. So how does this fit into Othello? Well, the most obvious finger pointing is towards Iago, but is he really the only one who deserves a finger pointed at him? If we were being really critical, we'd trace the blame back to where it started− Iago, but the game is much more complicated than that. If you look deeper, past Iago's vile conduct, you'll find even more corrupt characters. |
